History of Lomi Lomi Nui

Massage is one of the oldest and most powerful forms of healing, it was known to the Egiptians. Massage Lomi Lomi Nui is often called – „loving hands” massage.

Originally Lomi Lomi Niu massage was practised in temples by Kahunas. It was proceeded around a stone-made altar and therefore was perceived as a sacred massage. It was done by 4 to 6 sets of hands and could last 6-12 hours. It was a ritual for passing from one part of life to another in order to leave the old and open up for the new life.

Kahunas are spiritual teachers, healers but most of all massage masters. Each massage is conducted with prayer and intention. Kahunas connect to the spirits of Nature, spiritual guides and Angels in order to strengthen massage’s power.

Essential part of massage is Huna, in Hawaiian it means a „secret” but everyone can get to know it. It is not a religion, it is a philosophy of life, way of living and helping people – but only when they ask for help.

Huna means: Hu – male energy, Na – female energy, and only when those two elements, two energies unite while massage is performed, Unity and Love will occur.

Wishing you all Love and Unity,
